Becoming a member

Who can become a member?

You don't need to be a legal professional to make a contribution and have an impact in cases involving human rights violations around the world.

Any individual or organization can become a member of Lawyers Without Borders Canada.

The annual fee to become a member is $15.

The belief that you can change things and be an agent of change yourself has no age, sex, profession, or nationality!

Ok, but what does it involve?

Through their registration, each member agrees to abide by the values of cooperation and solidarity that LWBC promotes in all of its projects.

Membership means, in this sense, moral and financial support for our goals. It is an act of solidarity with the vulnerable individuals and groups that we support.

Since one of our main aims is to raise awareness and develop greater proximity with the public, we encourage our members to be part of our community on social media and to share the news and stories that have the biggest impact on them with their friends, families, and acquaintances.

We also invite you to visit our website regularly to read our annual publications, reports, fact sheets, and volunteer blog. In this way, you can pick up the torch and learn about our projects directly through informative content, compelling testimony, unique field experiences, and vibrant images!

So you see, you have nothing to lose and everything to gain!

I'm in! Where do I start?

Fantastic news! We are delighted and honoured to be able to count on your support!

You are about to join an organization that, since 2002, has made it possible to provide improved access to justice, help train hundreds of legal professionals in Canada and internationally, and directly contribute, through its expertise and its added value, to spectacular advances in international law.
